The long winter finally ends in October!

Nothing like boiling the Billy to lift the spirits

In the southwest of Western Australia, 2025, spring was a long time coming! The cooler weather and increased rainfall was a winter from childhood :) Wonderful for filling up dams and lakes for summer water use and irrigation - but concerning that due to the cooler weather, plants needed for markets just were not growing!

While the planned income is reduced, there's always many more jobs than time allows, so it's a case of finding inexpensive things to keep positive with. Fragrant flowers like sweet peas waft their lovely perfume while working in the garden and provide flower posies to share with friends and family. And a simple campfire always lifts the spirits - and provides free cooking fuel!
